Inside my

HELLO!

I am Pengsen Zhao, my work began in interior design, but gradually shifted towards architecture as a way of engaging more critically with space.

Through both research and design, I have explored how spatial organisation shapes everyday life — particularly in relation to domestic labour, social structures, and collective living. Influenced by projects such as Living and Working by Dogma, I became interested in how architecture can operate beyond aesthetics, as a framework that reflects and constructs social conditions.

My projects investigate themes such as spatial justice, circulation, and light, questioning how design can challenge inherited hierarchies rather than reinforce them.
