Site: Wuhan China
Individual Work
Time: 2024
This project is a research and conservation center for the Yangtze finless porpoise. The design is organized around a series of water basins for rescue, rehabilitation breeding, and public observation. These basins form the central voids of the project, while laboratories, offices, and exhibition spaces surround them as solid volumes. The building separates rescue, research, and visitor circulation, ensuring protection while allowing controlled visibility. Floating above the water, it establishes a clear relationship between structure, space, and river.
